Whether coaching individuals or facilitating group learning my approach is action-oriented and fun. Drawing on Third Generation NLP, Generative Coaching, Systems Thinking as well as on my direct experience of working with teams and groups for over 20 years, I offer learning events that activate the whole learning cycle, delivered in the Thinking Environment®. Programmes and workshops
Effective Teams
When teams work well together their output follows the metaphoric formula 2 + 2 = 5. Yet, often in organizations it is more like 2 + 2 = 3. In this workshop teams learn how to work productively together, to achieve a common purpose, making the most of their diverse abilities, backgrounds and values, collaborating instead of competing with each other.
Thinking System
Behaviour is generated by the system in which people operate. If you want to change behaviour, change the system. Using experiential learning activities like The Beer Game, this workshop is about seeing the larger context and learning how to "work on the system to improve it, with the help of those who work in the system".
Resilience
In the words of Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant, “we are not born with a fixed amount of resilience. It is a muscle that everyone can build”. In this workshop we discover practical strategies for developing our resilience. We also note the system dependencies and together we design workplace environments in which resilience is supported and sustained.
Transforming Meetings
Whether online or face to face, most meetings are boring and only a few people get heard, thus stifling effective thinking and action. In this workshop we transform the meetings being held in your organisation by learning to meet in the Thinking Environment®, applying approaches introduced by Nancy Kline in her Time to Think
books, we create the conditions in which the participants think well together.
Presentation Skills
Giving presentations is a standard management requirement in most organizations. Yet many struggle with this activity, whether on the giving or receiving end. This programme goes directly to the heart of the issue, building confidence and competence that can be seen and heard straight away.
Workplace Coaching
Coaching is increasingly being recognized as a key practice in the new workplace. Many describe change to their culture as moving from "command and control" to "coaching". There are now many coaching models available. In this workshop, we explore three specific approaches, building skill by using them in real situations.
